Because we have are a small Carroll County Farm Based Alcohol Producer, we have limited quantities of all of our wines.

Hours of Operations - We are open on Saturdays from May 17, 2025, through October 25, 2025. Changes in the schedule will be posted on the Welcome page. Additional openings can be arranged by contacting us for a reservation.
Visitors will wear clothing and shoes at all times.
Children and minors (people under (21) years of age) - we are a working farm, and we are located close to a busy road, so we are not able to accommodate child and minor visitors.
Pets and Service Animals - We are a working farm, and we are located close to a busy road, so we are not able to accommodate pet visitors.
Service animals are accommodated as long as they are kept on a lead and the human responsible brings all the materials necessary to care for the Service animal’s needs.
Bringing Outside Alcohol- Maryland law prohibits Farm Based Alcohol Producers from allowing visitors to bring outside alcohol on the property.
Reservations- during tasting room open days there are no need for reservations. Parking, seating and access is limited, and visitors will have access to the property and grounds on a first come first serve basis.
Parking- parking is limited on the grounds. Handicap parking is designated. Overflow parking is available at the direction of the Alta Valle Staff. Car and transit services are acceptable, but visitors should be aware of the limited nature of these services in the rural area and plan accordingly.
Groups, Limousines, and Buses- we are willing to accommodate all of your herd. But we need to be realistic. Groups of (8) or more should contact Alta Valle Staff (2) hours prior to arrival so we can advise if we can accommodate your needs.
Limousines and Buses should be less than (22) feet in length. Longer vehicles will not fit on our property.
Food - cooking, heating, barbecuing and grilling are not acceptable on our property. Prepared foods, pic-nic style meals, and non-alcoholic beverages are acceptable. Alta Valle Staff reserves the right to inspect all outside food and drink and deny access of these items to our property.
Cakes, cupcakes and celebratory foods are acceptable as long as they do not require any onsite preparation.
Food delivery services are acceptable. Patrons are asked to make arrangements that allow the delivery to take place in the parking area and does not disrupt Alta Valle Operations.
Portable Seating and Blankets- seating at our property is limited. Portable seating and blankets are acceptable and should be deployed in an acceptable location that avoids traffic, walkways and entry and exit areas.
Party favors, balloons, confetti, banners, fireworks, sparklers, noise makers- Celebratory items such as family appropriate signs, banners, balloons, and small nonsound producing party favors are acceptable. Noise producing items, explosives, burning items, and fireworks are prohibited from our property.
Outside music- Alta Valle provides a soundtrack that plays on our external speaker system. Openly playing external music is prohibited. Using your music in a private manner with the use of ear bud devices is acceptable.
Smoking-we are a working farm and farm-based alcohol producer, everything on our property is flammable. Smoking is strictly forbidden on our property.
Trash- if you bring something on our property, you are expected to clean up after yourself and take your trash for disposal.
Other prohibited items or activities- large coolers, tents, large umbrellas, portable speakers, radios, sound systems, vaporizers, and handheld vape devices.
Loitering before and after posted hours is prohibited.
By entering the property, you agree with all of these policies, and you understand Alta Valle staff may change open times and access to the property at any time. Guests not following these policies will be asked to leave.
