Red Wines.

  • Our initial Barbera planting was in 2019. The soil at this plot is Brinklow channery loam at 820 ft elevation. The grapes are slow to ripen, and very bitter to taste until they reach maturity. Barbera is an Italian vinifera which thrives in the Italian piedmont region.

    The wine is a very dry red with medium to full body, high acidity, and low tannin. This wine has a fruit forward taste consisting of dark berry and cherry. Barbera makes a flavorful low tannin warm weather red wine.

  • Our initial Cabernet Franc planting was in 2019. The soil at this plot is Brinklow channery loam at 820 ft elevation. The grapes are a beautiful dark purple. They are slightly herbaceous until they reach full ripeness.

    The wine is a dry medium body red with high acidity and medium high tannins. Fruit forward of dark berry, cherry, and in some palettes plum with some slight minerality.

  • Our initial Merlot planting was in 2019. The soil at this plot is Brinklow channery loam at 820 ft elevation. we followed this with an acre of Merlot in Gaila channery loam at 820 ft elevation. these grapes are a beautiful rich purple. This year they were picked at 23 brix. We share these lovely grapes with a local partner winery.

    Our wine is a rich Merlot, with a rich dark red cherry, and berry flavor, this wine gets its concentrated flavor from our use of sanguine method to pull a portion of the prepressed juice for our Merlot Rose’. The wine is oaked. No additives or blending is employed maintaining the pure flavor of the Merlot.

  • Teroldego was the first grape planted in our vineyard. Teroldego is an Italian vinifera that is found in the mountains of northern Italy. Turns out it likes Maryland, too. The grapes are very large berries on large clusters. our plants were planted in 2019 on a plot of transition soil consisting of Brinklow and Gaila channery loam. Elevation 820 feet.

    This wine is a very dry, full body red with medium acidity and high tannins. It is a mix of red berries and plum with a remarkable spice finish. We oak this wine.

White Wines.

  • 1742 Chardonnay is made from our oaked chardonnay-clone 4. These vines are grown in Gaila channery loam at 820-foot elevation.

    1742 Chardonnay has a complex citrus fruit flavor with an intense buttery finish. This year’s vintage is in small quantities because of storm damage.

  • Our unoaked Chardonnay is developed from a 67 Wendt clone. These vines provide small clusters with sweet berries. These plants are grown at 820-foot elevation in Brinklow channery loam.

    This unoaked wine presents with green apple, citrus and pineapple notes. Malolactic fermentation provides a mild butter finish

  • Our Pinot Grigio was planted in 2020 in Gaila channery loam at a 810-foot elevation. These vines turn out compact clusters of red skinned grapes that possess a slight silver sheen. They are harvested in mid to late august.

    Our Pinot Grigio wine is dry, light and crisp with high acidity. It presents on the palate with a blend of citrus, white peach and slight minerality. Served chilled, our Pinot Grigio is a satisfying warm weather refreshment.

  • Sauvignon Blanc was one of our first vinifera planted in 2019 on Brinklow channery loam at 820 feet elevation. These vines performed well immediately and produce a slight floral aroma in the vineyard. The grapes are medium to large with large clusters.

    Our Sauvignon Blanc is a pleasant green apple and citrus blend with a distinct mineral finish. The wine is dry, moderately acidic, and aromatic.

  • Our Vidal Blanc was one of the first Hybrid wines we planted. It grows along a Woodline at 820-feet elevation in Brinklow channery loam. Vidal ripens mid-September presenting large gold clusters of grapes.

    Vidal Blanc wine is off dry, with pineapple, citrus and melon notes. It has medium high acidity and a medium body. A very smooth palatable wine often preferred by folks new to dry wines.

Rose’ Wines.

  • Our Merlot Rose’ is made using the sanguine method. This creates a dark red rose’ with notes of red berries, pepper, and spice.

    Packaged in 375 ml bottles for convenient storage.

  • We wanted to make Pinot Noir wine but found that our test wines of Rose’ had berry and strawberry flavors that excited our tasters.

Sweet / Specialty Wines.

  • Buckley’s Orchard Breeze is a delightful wine beverage that uses a white wine base with natural peach flavoring. Off dry and medium bodied, the peach flavoring lightly present on the palate, without obscuring the natural flavor of the wine.

    Refreshing and novel!

  • In an attempt to pay tribute to Limoncello, we were able to make a sweet wine using Limoncello flavoring. The blend preserves the flavor of the Chardonnay base wine while providing just enough Limoncello flavor and sweetness to catch the interest of the sweet wine drinker.

  • Kingsley’s Royal Red uses almond and sweet cherry flavoring to accentuate the plum and berry notes of the base red wine. This wine explodes with sweetness and an array of flavors on the palate. Most consumers notice the almond flavor and then the individual’s palate sorts through the range of fruit flavors. This is a fun wine for all types of wine drinkers.

Dry wines are $22.94 per 750 ml bottle. $8.00 for a 5-ounce glass.

Rose’ wines are $11.01 per 375 ml bottle. $8.00 for a 5-ounce glass.

Sweet / Specialty wines are $18.35 per 750 ml bottle. $7.00 for a 5-ounce glass.

Tasting Service

Tastings allow you to select 4 in-stock wines of your choosing.

The tastings are held at 1, 2, 3, and 4 pm in the tasting room.

Each glass will contain 2 ounces of the selected wine.

Tastings are $10.00 per person per session.

Samples

1/2-ounce free samples (limit of 4) will be offered for any in-stock wine.
